How much stage space do you need for the band?

The band requires a space at least 16 feet deep by 22 feet wide. Raised if possible.

Are any special utilities required?

The stand lights and sound system operate on standard 120 volt 60 Hz power supply. The electric load is minimal but multiple outlets will be appreciated. 

Any other requirements?

14 armless chairs for the musicians on stage plus 3 chairs for the vocalists and the leader. 

How much time do you need for the set up and tear down?

One hour is needed for the setup and about 45 minutes for the tear down. This time will not be charged toward our client.

What if we don't have a piano available?

Please let us know at the time of the booking so we can alert our piano player to bring his or her own keyboard.

Do you play requests?

Please tell us in advance of any special music types or titles you want to hear. We may be able to obtain appropriate charts but there may be an additional charge if the song or style does not fit our normal repertoire. Requests at the time of the performance may be difficult to accommodate.

What is your rate and what area do you serve?

The Swing Machine is a Columbus, Ohio based jazz band available for hire.
